CLACK! is a new zine from Bryan Mahoney of The Typin’ Pint, released as Issue 01 at the QWERTY Typewriter Festival in Carson, CA (summer 2026).
Contents (16 pages):
- An exclusive interview with typewriter artist James Cook The Typin’ Pint
- A custom typewriter-themed crossword puzzle The Typin’ Pint
- A history piece on the Barbie typewriter The Typin’ Pint
- Analog tips and creative poetry, plus general “clack-filled” content The Typin’ Pint
- Comes with a free sticker included The Typin’ Pint
Broader description: It’s positioned as a niche zine dedicated to typewriters, featuring stories, interviews, and unique analog content, with free stickers and bookmarks included in some offerings. Each issue features interviews and articles about people around the world giving new life to classic typewriters. The Typin’ PintThe Typin’ Pint
Review: The one write-up I found is from typewriter blogger Chris Aldrich, who called it truly fantastic after reading it cover to cover (crossword still in progress). He mentioned picking up copy #6 at the festival, with friends grabbing #7 and #8, and said he’s already brainstorming content for a hoped-for issue 2 and 3 — a good sign for a first issue. It looks like a small-press, in-person launch (festival debut) rather than something with wide press coverage yet — I didn’t find any other independent reviews beyond that blog post. You can find/order it directly through The Typin’ Pint’s site if you want to check it out yourself.
